Gathering Seeds: A Practice is an exhibition of new encaustic paintings by Minneapolis-based artist Kathleen Kvern, exploring the intersections of creativity, spirituality, and well-being.

Through luminous layers of encaustic wax, oil painting, and mixed media, Kvern translates her spiritual path into visual form. The work, inspired by the natural world, reflects the ongoing journey of transformation through the intertwining of her spiritual and creative practices. Rooted in the belief that vulnerability is a true source of resilience, the exhibition opens a space for dialogue and connection between the creative process and the pursuit of well-being.

Exhibition Hours: 3:00 – 7:00 pm

Demonstration & Free Art-Making: 3:00 – 5:00 pm
Attendees are invited to watch a live encaustic demonstration and create their own small encaustic pieces at no cost.

Reception: 5:00 – 7:00 pm
Light hors d’oeuvres and beverages will be served.

Kathleen Kvern is a fiscal year 2025 recipient of a Creative Individuals grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a grant from the Minnesota State Arts Board, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
